Lauki Ki Kheer
- 1 & 1/2 Litres Milk
- 1 Tsp Cardarmom Powder
- 1/2 Cup Rice Washed And Soaked For 3 Hours
- 1 Tbsp Custard Powder Mixed With 2-3 Tbsp
- water 250 Gmssugar 1 Tsp
- kewra 250 Gms. Seedless Squash Peeled And Grated
- pistas Slivered
- 110 Gms Khoya
Instructions
Boil the milk. Crush the rice with your hand. Add it to the milk, keep stirring and continue cooking till the rice is tender. Add the sugar and cook till the milk thickens. Steam the squash for 15 minutes till it is tender. Sieve, then add it to the milk. Cook the kheer, or milk mixture, for another 15 minutes. Add khoya, cardamom powder and custard powder. Stir for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Finally add the kewra and pistas. Cool and let it set in a serving bowl.
