Pyazwale Chops
Ingredients
- L/2 Cup Oil
- 2 Tsps Red Chilly Powder
- 4 Black Peppercorns
- 1 Tsp Cummin Powder
- 2 Black Cardamoms
- l Cup Water
- 2 Green Cardamoms
- 250 Gms Onions Sliced In Rings
- 4 Cloves
- 2 Potatoes Cut In Round Slices
- 2 Sticks Of Cinnamon
- 2 - 3 Tomatoes Sliced In Rings
- 500 Gms Mutton Chops
- fresh Coriander Leaves Chopped
- l Tsp Ginger / Garlic
- few Whole Green Chillies
Instructions
Heat the oil and add the whole garam masala i.e. peppercorns, black and green cardamoms, cloves and cinnamon. Let them splutter for a minute, then add the mutton chops. Fry, turning them around till they brown. Then add the ginger / garlic, red chilly powder and cummin powder. Sprinkle a little water in the pot and stir genly till the water evaporates and you can see the oil again. Now add 1 cup of water and cover the pot. Let the chops cook till they are tender. Stir in the onions, potatoes and tomatoes. Lower the heat and cook till the vegetables are tender. Place in a serving dish and garnish with the coriander and green chillies.
